Thomas Franklin
Former Student Body President (2022 – 2023)
He grew up in Shutesbury, a small town in Massachusetts. He spent most of his early years in nearby Amherst where he attended high school and lead worship for his youth group. Thomas came to Gordon College to study political science and economics. Now in his final year, he hopes to give back to the Gordon community which he loves.
Thomas desires to help the college reach its full potential to serve to student body holistically: A place where every student is personally invested in and equipped for their life’s calling; A place where the student academic experience is both challenging and supportive; And that Gordon is a place where every students feels a true sense of belonging and safety.
Thomas has a passion for ensuring that GCSA is serving the student body well in both advocacy and service. Thomas brings a focus on communication and policy to Student Government that will advance the work of the GCSA to new levels.
Thomas began his service in GCSA during his Freshman year as a Representative at-Large. He went on to serve two terms as Vice President of Club Development (now called Vice President for Student Organizations) during the administrations of Shineika Fareus and Cam Grinnell.
