FY 2024 Budget Development Calendar 

March 13th, 2023 |Budget Info-Session

In Gregory Auditorium at 8PM there will be a mandatory Budget Info-Session for everyone in the GCSA Community! All memebers of Student Government and leaders of Student Organizations are invited. It is required for every organization to send atleast 1 leader.

March 30th, 2023 |Application Deadline

Deadline for FY2024 Budget Applications for All Organizations

March 31st, 2023 – April 6th, 2023 | Initial Review & Followup

The Financial Affairs Committee (FAC) will review applications.  After review, the Committee will respond to each organization specifying what amount the committee found favorable. If the Committee does not approve the full amount that the organization requested, they will provide an explanation to the organization. Sometimes this will consist of clarifying questions that the committee has regarding the application.

April 10th | Deadline for Re-Submission & Appeals

Re-submission/Appeal to the committee may be needed or recomended in any of the following cases

• If the Financial Affairs Committee (FAC) has follow-up questions for the organization that need to be answered
• If the Financial Affairs Committee (FAC) finds that the application needs more work or includes line items that are wasteful
• If an organization disagrees with FAC’s decision

Mid to Late April

• Financial Affairs Committee (FAC) prepares their Final Draft of the overall GCSA Budget
• Student Assembly (who’s meetings are public) reviews FAC’s final draft, makes any needed changes, and approves the final budget
• Student Government sends an official copy to the Student Body
